First time for using the sonic 95 in the real ocean (had tried at Pinnaroo before) – launching at Mettams had me worried about it handling a set but once I was out it was all good. No nasty nose diving but had to relearn the gybing on a face habbits a small board gets you into to.

A great sail with a 5.8 SE Wave and the old drake fin. Mettams to sorrento and planed almost the whole time, SL VB stopped at watermans after plodding that far on smaller gear.

Perhaps I should have used a bigger sail – might try that next time – now that I own a 6.5
