JT, 18-7-9, Lucky Bay, 6.2

Bobbed around for a what seemed like a long time waiting for the wind, at least a few good gusts eventually came in.

Nice to see so many others out.

JT, 28 June 2009, Lucky Bay, 5.8

Finally managed to go faster on the Sonic than I had on the Kombat. Leaving for NZ in a couple of days. Sailed for quite a while and got best speed on Sonic with Drake fin. Borrowed a choco fin but was too tired to really give it a proper go.

Lucky bay – first proper run with the isonic 95 – definitely need a better fin, it was the limiting factor today I think. 6.2 Expression (out of storage from a few years ago) – too big but once I moved the boom up and gave it some more outhaul it wasnt backwinding quite as violently.

JT, 19th June – Pt Walter – 5m

Pt Walter, a bit too much wind (I know there shouldnt ever be too much – but the gusts today were extreme). Had fun though, a bit dissapointed with the speed but at least I got wet. 5m Ezzy a handful most of the time, felt a bit like a rag doll at times, just being picked up and shaken. Looking forward to tomorrow now.
