JT Lancelin Bay
Short underpowered sail in the bay. 5.8 Koncept too small. Tried out JP weedy 31 fin that helped a bit.

JT Lancelin Bay – PB Day
Lancelin bay, sonic 95, koncept 5.8, chocko weed 27.
Great day, but need to get the file checked as the top speed seems a little odd (have posted the 2nd top for now, have posted the 10sec so will see if it needs correcting). Upwind was like being on a railway track, one fast run to top corner of the bay every time. Then run in waiting to get a gust, clear downwind run (all other sailors out of the way) and no kiters dropping down. Then downiwn over inside of reef, flat out into channel. Just couldnt work out how to stop / jybe. Ended up just dumping it in the channel, then waterstart.
Met Toby in water, buzzing about, he gave me 8 for the dismount 😉
After checking the doppler figures were accepted – PB of 33 rather than second best PB of 32, took a couple of days and referral to stewards 😉
Best runs were first of the day (while showing of to Elliott) and last one (just one more before I pack up). The last one was the 33, the wind was gusting up and everyone else (including Werner) had packed up. Some sailors at SP and MB.
Broke previous PB 2 Sec by 1.54 Knots, also got over 30 for 5×10 for the first time (1.52 Knots) even a PB if only the second best 2 sec was counted.

JT Lancelin Bay
Lancelin bay, 5.0 ezzy SE wave , 79l Kombat and JP weed fin. Saw someone else going fast and thought I would try it too. Was busy all day with domestics so didnt get to the water until 4, glare made it hard to see what was happening. Thought it was more windy than that so didnt take speed sails or Sonic (was only 2 minute drive but didnt bother to go get them). Was really surprised getting over 30. Even more so to get a PB (0.3 of a knot faster on 2 sec and a poofteenth on 5×10

JT pt Walter
Decided it was too far to drive to woodies so tried Pt Walter instead. Good fun but just havent got it all together to go faster yet. More tuning / trial and error I think. Finally manage to get a 30 on my last run, maybe being so tired you can barely hang on helps ?

Very windy. Didnt look it at the start but 4.2m was great most of the time.

JT SL Mettams to Sorrento
Nice cruise, a bit underpowered but a relaxing time after the last two days. Had a bbq with the inlaws so full of food. Had been to Lancelin to pickup fridge in the morning.

4.2 for JT, SL on 5 Wind just right. A few light spots for the 4.2 but generally it was perfect. so nice to use such small sails. a little bit of swell still there , wind wave as well.
Lots of bumping and jumping.

Very nice 5m sail, a bit of swell about. Quite a few out at Mettams.
