30-10-2009 JT PG GG I – 5.8 and Kites

New Funstuff blog for new season .

Sailed on 30-10-9 with Pete GG and Ian. JT and PG on poles, GG and Ian on strings.

First coast run of the season, very slow but a lot of fun. Not much use for the team but I guess Im just selfish

Was tired out from rigging up and other birthday related activity.

Kept pushing the wave fin too hard and sliding.

Kombat 79L, 5.0 Ezzy SE Wave. Mettams to Costalotta (Sorrento).

Always windy on the 30th of October (its my birthday). And I was a long way from 40 Knots by 50 Years, but I will have to aim for 32 Knots by 51 years.

JT 25-10-9 Peli Pt

Peli Pt, was 2nd in car park at 6:30AM (Claude was waiting in his car but not rigging up). 5.8 Koncept, Sonic. Lot of fun. Bit Gusty and choppy but still enjoyable.

Realised my phone which I was using as the alarm this morning thought we had daylight saving so I was up at 5:00 – makes sense that I could get to the river by 6:30. Just thought I had packed and driven quickly.

Brought up the 2000Km in GPS Team Challenge with this sail.

JT 20-10-2009 Mettams

Went to Mettams for a play. All felt a bit weird after the winter on the river. Had fun and got it together eventually. 5.8 Ezzy Wave SE, Kombat 79l

Tried to go to Watermans but bobcats on the beach and council had it closed off while they replaced all the sand ! Rumour was the council spend 50K to fix it carting in sand as winter had erroded it to bedrock. Noticed at end of last summer that rock was all exposed.
